UltraMega I've bent pins back on these kinds of sockets many times. I don't see anything wrong in the picture but if you need to bend pins you'll want some very fine tweezers and possibly a magnifying glass.

accskyman The pins look pretty good, aligned in a grid etc- but it is hard to tell from the picture.

If any look to be not aligned you can *gently* try to bend it back in place, however you'll need a very steady hand.

It sounds like you've tried the CPU from your friend and it didn't work. Have you tried anything else? Reset bios, check error codes/beeps on motherboard?

white owl Under the pin is the notch it sits in. If the pins line up with the notch, its fine. Hard to tell by looking at a potato.

Matic Lovrec hmm i saw that too but is there an easy fix for that? can i take a needle and try to fix it carefully?

TheHorse Well it's a lot harder to tell in pictures than real life, but that pin in bottom center, the last one to the right of the little notch, at the very bottom, looks like it might be bent.
