Cyclops The list and all the charts have been updated.

I've also made a video regarding the restoration and overclocking a GTX Titan-Z with before and after results:

AuraNova I love the idea of this, to be honest. I had thought of the idea of this for myself as well, but with CPUs.

I used to own a Gigabyte GTX 260 SOC, but it had such really bad coil whine. Luckily, the GTX 460 came out shortly after and wound up getting rid of the card.

Kaltenbrunner Nice, I wish I had all my old gear over the years. I had a C64, my Mom threw it out

The Ultimate GPU Collection Thread

A few years ago, I decided to start collecting rare and interesting graphics cards. I've been building my collection ever since, slowly but surely. I'm interested in the following:

Any and all dual GPU graphics cards, such as GTX 295, HD 7990, etc.
High end or limited edition graphics cards from all vendors such as MSI Lightning, EVGA Classified/Kingpin, Sapphire Toxic, GALAX HOF, Gigabyte SoC, etc.

I try to get most of the cards I can with box and accessories, but that's not always possible, specially with older graphics cards. I don't just collect them though. I use my test bench to evaluate the 3D and thermal performance. In a lot of cases, the cards arrive in a pretty bad shape; beat up, dusty, and disgusting. Even found a dead bug in an old 8800 Ultra!

I then proceed to clean the cards physically, replace the thermal paste and pads as needed, assemble them back together and re-run my tests. Most of the time I see a decent drop in temperature followed by lower fan speeds and quieter operation. Sometimes, it doesn't make any difference at all, but it is still interesting to take these cards apart and admire the engineering that went into them.

It doesn't stop there though, after validating stability and temperatures, I proceed to mod the BIOS (If possible) with a gentle overclock, sometimes involving increased voltages or a custom fan curve to essentially "max out" these cards for their true potential. Some overclock better than others, and some are so far pushed by default factory clocks that the marginal gains in performance is not really worth modding the BIOS for. Some really old cards that basically see no benefit from overclocking in modern applications such as the rare 7900 GX2, are left at factory clocks.

The list bellow will contain all the cards I currently own and also the cards I'm looking to collect. I'm open to suggestions on cards that can be considered collectible and naturally, the list will be expanding as time goes on. I suspect I'll be looking for new cards for quite a few years to come. If you have one for sale or know someplace I can get one one, feel free to post a reply or message me directly. Even if you see the GPU listed as "Obtained", it's possible that I only have the graphics card and none of the accessories or the original box, so if you happen to have those, drop me a line. I have a purchase thread here: https://www.overclock.net/forum/1477...ics-cards.html

Images will be added. I have a ton of cards I need to take pictures of and that will take me some time, but they will be here eventually. If you guys are interested, I can also make videos about these cards. Taking them apart, cleaning them, putting them back together and running some tests should be interesting to watch.

As I mentioned before I test the thermals, and performance by primarily using Ungine Valley. You can find all the results, including benchmark scores, final overclock, temperature, and restoration notes here:
