Robotmind Great job! It is a lonely list for sure...

I may not have top score, but make up for that in quantity.

All ran with no chicken clocking.

miklkit Gave meself a scare recently. Started smelling a hot electronics smell and then one day there was a buzz in the headphones and the monitor went black. Restarted the puter and all seemed well but the smell persisted. So off came the cables and side panels and out into the yard it went where it was given a thorough beating with a Data Vac. Big cloud of toxic dust.

Since then if anything the rig is running slightly cooler than it was a year ago at the same specs. Still, it might be time to think about re-greasing the bearings, so to speak. Is there anything to pay attention to on this Sapphire Vega 64?

Wuest3nFuchs Hello,

Vega56 Pulse Watercooled

My VDDC and MVDD temps where about 20-30° Cel higher than those from hbm and gpu...?
Is that normal for a watercooled card ?
Should i care about that higher temp there?

My 2700x CPU had 38.3° Cel while running a game and is also in the same loop as the GPU.

Below are pics of my maxed out temps for Vega56 while gaming and a pic from overdriventool for clocks and voltages.

0451 My GPU won’t post and the GPU tach won’t light up. It boots fine from iGPU. Any ideas? I tried different 8 pin power connectors already.

jearly410 Oh now I see what you are saying. You are correct, the toggle is new.

Different thing.

Graphics->Advanced->[10Bit Pixel Format]->Enabled/Disabled (bits per pixel, not bits per channel)
This is the the one Photoshop users usually might want.

If you enable this and then also use 10bits per channel for Display output you get "true 10bits" rather than the consumer 8bit->10bit conversion stuff.
But seems it messes up to many things as nothing really expects 10bits and are designed with 8bits in mind.

For example HDR would no longer work proper as I saw it. Destiny 2 was a mess and useless. Could not be used with it. HDR did not get switched on and stayed SDR but everything was "crushed" for brightness/contrast.
Total war: Warhammer 2 and colours got messed up for some elements but not all for a SDR game. Could actually be used if you like some "Pop" to colours.

This way I could have a 10bit desktop, not limited to DX3D 10bit output. But as I saw, games get borked, they expect 8bits.
I could verify it was 10bits by using my media setup MPC->MADVR->10bit output for video. It was still 10bit but I no longer had issues with not using [DX11 full screen-exlusive-mode]. 10bit output worked in window mode as well.
