https://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...82E16817151189 Sale for 7 days....It should settle the PSU debate as I don't see how anyone can fault it. |

rdr09 | Go with the motherboard Cravin suggested. Should work better for the next six or even eight core Ryzen cpus. |

Hey, You put together a good list. Here is something a tad better IMHO. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jWLpTB Full modular PSU, B450 atx vs B350 Matx in an Atx case, better ram and rocking a m.2 ssd. Left off CPU to see if you were interested in my note below In case you want to save about $30 to put against the parts. I have a 1600x I'm letting go. https://www.overclock.net/forum/1468...-me-holla.html Cheers! -SGT |

The S12III production has been outsourced to another company and the whole series lacks OCP
If the OP is fine with that sure go ahead As for what ram to pick, check the board's QVL or the ram's QVL to amke sure it's been tested so you won't have to fight with it...though at 3000mhz that might not be an issue. |

keikei | I'd up the core count if streaming will be a main task. You can also save some $ getting used cpu. There are many ryzens for sale on ebay. |

The S12III production has been outsourced to another company and the whole series lacks OCP
If the OP is fine with that sure go ahead I mean, let's look at the facts: She's on a very tight budget. Se won't be overclocking. She won't be doing constant gaming. The PSU's +12v is 648W. The PSU has a 5-year warranty, so obviously SeaSonic has plenty of faith in it or else it would have a much shorter warranty. Now ok, for $70 or $80, she could have a PSU that any overclocker would be happy with, but then she'd have a PSU that cost her $40-50 more that really won't make any difference to her for the way she will be using the computer. This build is already $28 above the cost goal of $700, so I really don't want to recommend going even further above it unless it would definitely be worth it. Of course I would love to recommend a better PSU because that's more fun. I'd rather recommend the RM550x because it's about $63 after a mail-in rebate. However, I see no good reason to recommend a PSU that is more expensive for any reason whatsoever - not for this build. She's just interested in a decent or good computer that she can play games on sometimes. I'd be extremely surprised if the 650W S12III isn't able to handle it just fine. I mean good lord, it's not like it's going to hurt her computer or be dangerous to use or anything like that. |
