kayan Strange question but I have a new build in a nzxt h210i. GPU is right next to the PSU shroud, and I've got some odd pixelation happening. Can a GPU thermal throttle and cause that even if temps don't go above 73C?

I've got a Gigabyte Gaming OC 2080.

Or is my card dying? Fans auto or manually set to 55% same thing.

I was looking at the the XC as well as the hydro copper version. Both boards are virtually the same, the hydro copper is a bit longer. How are you liking it so far? I saw that you have the EK waterblock, which model was it? Debating to go the XC route and buy the waterblock or to purchase the hydro copper and call it good. What do you think?
Thanks

I use curve 1.093v on my MSI X Trio for 2070Mhz.

It's pretty difficult to explain how to do it in a post lol.

I've used this guide from EVGA forums to do mine.

I got a question as well. I can get a 2080 Super (KFA2 EX, which is a very well designed and cooled card) through work incredibly cheap and I am wondering what the average core OC on the Supers is? My normal 2080 isn't brilliant topping out at 2030Mhz stock volts and just 2070Mhz on 1.093v and even that crashes sometimes.. 2055Mhz is basically the max. I wonder if swapping for the Super will be useful and it the average Super will do at least the same 2055Mhz..
Thanks for the info, I'll check out the curve and maybe it'll help draw a bit more voltage, but it also comes down to temperature.

BradleyW After research, my card, the Wind Force, has a power limit of 102%. The Wind Force Gaming OC (same card, higher clocks) is 120%. I've flashed the BIOS to the Gaming OC and now I can increase the power limit to 120%.

However, I've noticed with this card that no matter how much I increase the core voltage, the card doesn't seem to want to draw any more voltage.

Could the card be hard-locked physically not to draw more voltage regardless of what I set it to? Or is the card deciding not to draw more voltage to keep temperatures in check for the VRM's?

The card does 2010 @ 1.035v @ 63c. That's what RTSS reports in Superposition, Extreme.

scc28 just splashed out on a EVGA 2080 super FTW3 ultra, seems to be going well.

replaced my 2 1080's as SLI seems to not be supported anymore!

Imprezzion I just bought a 2080 Super from KFA2 for a new build for a mate of mine as it is on sale locally for €698 which is a pretty good deal and I have to say I'm positively surprised with it so far!

It runs pretty cool for the relatively small cooler and isn't very loud either. Clocks pretty well too lol.

I just installed it out of the box and didn't even bother to replace the TIM, loaded up a loop of Unigine Superposition and cranked it to +100 core with stock 7750 memory and it's running around 2030Mhz stable so far with around 63-64c on ~70% fanspeed with 1.031-1.050v which is audible but pretty quiet all together.

Power limits seems to be pretty well dailed in as well, it hits about 85-90% with OC in Superposition which is pretty power hungry for a benchmark.

Haven't tweaked it further in terms of core or with the Curve OC function to put a bit more voltage on it but I'm guessing it will probably run around 2070-2100Mhz with 8000 memory just fine with a Curve OC.

Anyone else use a KFA2 card?

Pendulum Oof, it's not just you or the GPU. BL3 is optimized really poorly, it will bring even a 2080 Ti under 60 FPS.
I'll buy it on Steam if they can iron out the performance issues, but I don't think that's going to happen unfortunately.

The only issue I'm having is one that's been following me even before my CPU/GPU upgrade. My screen keeps flashing black during loading screens and main menus. I've tried a dozen different drivers, changed hardware, tried just about every nvidia setting in the control panel and reinstalled, changed out all of my cables and my OS between all of it but the problem still persists. No idea what to do at this point.

A lot said it was tied to G-Sync but it still persists without it enabled.

Imprezzion Anyone here play borderlands 3 on a 2080? I'm kinda disappointed in the FPS mine managed to get even tho it does seem right with the benches I looked up.. I run 1080p DX11 with "badass" preset with no motion blur / DoF. It manages about 80-110FPS but when we play co-op and spam a bunch of action skills and money dropping grenades it tanks to 45-60 fps and since I run a 144hz monitor I really want a bit more just for smoothness.

I really expected a €700 high-end GPU to be able to do better in BL3 on 1080p...

Other games perform very well like BFV all max 125% resolution scale 100 fps+, world of tanks maxed out 150fps+, even Modern Warfare all maxed with 125% easily does 80ps+ at all times and my card is OCed to 2070 core 7800 memory and is stable as a rock, max temps mid 50's, usage flat 100%...
