jayfkay No LOD issue on GSR or Puretrak Talent. Replace your unit.

As for the HERO vs 3360 debate:
Technically, the HERO should be superior, as it has a continuously variable Framerate (or a lot of "preset" framerates) to track accurately at any speed without oversampling too much, where the 3360 would only have a few.

But it would also make the sensor harder to "master" so to speak because there is more variance.

Here is more info on the HERO. https://blog.logitech.com/2019/03/29/anatomy-of-a-hero/

In my experience, I seem to be more accurate with the 3366 in the G403 than the G Pro Hero 16k wired. The 3366 in the oringinal G Pro wired (the tiny mouse) was inferior to the G403's 3366, so Logitech is just not consistent with their 3366 sensors from mouse to mouse. I don't really want a big, more palm-style mouse, which is the only reason I don't use the 3366 G403 as a main.

Another thing to note is, I've used FOUR G Pro Hero 16k wired, and one of them tracked great, one almost as good as the first, and the other two seemed to be a lot slower and I couldn't play as well with them. Not sure if that's all due to DPI variance or what. I don't know what the common DPI variance on mice is nowadays, but if it's a range upwards of 20-40 or so, that would make an enormous difference whether you like a mouse or not.

jayfkay here is some feedback for logitech, should they read it.

1. the grip of the rough plastic is much inferior to the coating of mice like the g403. the g403's coating also comes closer to the rubber the original 518 had, so why not use that one?
2. the buttons are way too stiff, again not up to par with g403 quality. please use the soft and springy classic omrons again.
3. biggest disappointment: the feet are a big step back, big uneven feet just glide way worse than small ones. why? because the 518 is a palmgrip mouse, which means the weight of your hand will increase friction and friction points are different and bad with these large, edgy feet compared to the small round ones, especially when you rest your hand on the mouse. the small feet version of the mx518 was always superior.

for the me feet ruin the smoothness of my tracking and make smaller movements much harder and I believe they are the culprit for when anyone says their tracking or their micro adjustments felt off with this mouse.

jayfkay they are still completely different to the 20ms that were used in the g400.
I definitely think omrons got worse over the years. mx518>g400>518L omrons.

Think they are Made in China now compared to the original's, that were Japanese Made.

Very BIG difference in feel and durability despite using the very same Model Number.

jayfkay I do very well with this mouse.
Still feels like my g400 with the old 5 tiny mousefeet glides much better.

Just not sure how to mod them on this one.
