Lancerz Completed my build on Friday, and I am so happy. Can play all of my games maxed out now. This is my first time ever using the stock cooler on a pc build, and it’s not to bad. Thank you to everyone who commented!

Lancerz So I pulled the plug, just waiting for the MB and Video card to get here Friday. I also got a new desk because my current one is over 10 years old lol. I went with this desk, it was $45 off yesterday for Prime day. The MB is is the Gigabyte X570 elite, and I went with the Gigabyte 1660ti to save some money. I checked and I have 5 different 1080p/60hz monitors so I have no need to get a new one. So ready for the weekend! I’m also excited because after 10 years with Comcast internet I finally ditched them!!!!! AT&T just upgraded my neighborhood with fiber so I went with the Fiber 1000 for $60 a month with no usage cap. 1000 up and 1000 down is insane. I went over my budget but YOLO [emoji3] https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GJTWSNR..._vV2lDbB4PBD0P

I’m going to get the ram and storage from my local micro center. Just getting the more expensive items out of the way first.

I think this build will do me just fine! https://secure.newegg.com/Wishlist/S...4iiLuvXpYUw%3d

UltraMega Are you planning to stay with one of those monitors for gaming? Are they 60hz? If so you can get just about anything and for 1080p 60hz you will be fine.

These days I think the most important thing when deciding on a build is what resolution and Hz are you going for because you're either going to need a top notch CPU or a top notch GPU but not both.

rdr09 Going off The Pook's build:

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor ($199.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard:https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E1681314...-262-_-Product (170$)
Memory:https://www.newegg.com/g-skill-16gb-...82E16820232476 (100$)
Storage: Team - MS30 512 GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive (44$ @ Newegg)
Storage: Seagate - Barracuda Computer 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (55$ @ Newegg)
Video Card:https://www.newegg.com/xfx-radeon-rx-5700-rx-57xl8mfg6/p/N82E16814150822(350$)
Case: Fractal Design - Meshify C ATX Mid Tower Case (100$ @ Newegg)
Power Supply: Corsair - TXM Gold 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply (70$ @ Newegg)

1090$

I cannot find any GPU in the 200-400$ range that is really worth looking since the Super are coming. Not sure how much is the cheapest RTX 2060 Super will be. This RX 5700 is the only gpu worth considering at 350$ BUT it is a reference card.

EDIT: Just saw the Super 2060 is now available. Just decide between the two. BTW, X570 motherboard and the RX 5700 use PCIe4.0 if it matters to you.

Lancerz Oh ok, I see the super 2060’s are already available. Gonna do some thinking tonight once I get to work. The 3600X and a Super 2060 are looking good right now though.

Also would I be able to max out my games with the Radeon 590? I've only owned nvidia cards for the past 20 years, so I don't know how they compare.

faster clocks, more CUDA cores, and 2GB more vRAM along with a wider memory bus.

I have cameras now, but I didn't then. Man, I had just gotten a new Fractal Define R blackout case too...and swapped everything into it.
