ThrashZone Hi,
I'd use updates mini tool frankly if you don't now obviously you don't lol

Just restore a system image and disable updates for a while
Use updates mini tool to check for updates at least it will show them well before it downloads and installs where it's too freaking late to do anything about it.

There is also this haven't looked into it though yet catchy name sledgehammer sounds appropriate

NIK1 Thanks for the info.I was going to uninstall the KB4524147 update for windows but there is no uninstall option for it when I click on it.I am doomed.Lol..I did uninstall the one from yesterday ending in 389 though.I will just have to wait and see if 389 was the culprit.

NIK1 Just wondering what this code.43 popup warning is I got yesterday while playing "world of tanks". Never have seen this before. The latest hot fix driver is installed and the game crashes sometimes with this code.43 popup warning.Oh, windows 10 did a update yesterday too and windows updated to ver.1903-18362.418 build. This is when the code 43 stuff all started right after the update I think.I uninstalled the hot fix driver with ddu and reinstalled the NVIDIA driver and its still doing it though at random..My card is a Asus Dual-RTX2070-O8G .I wonder if the windows update did something when it upgraded the build.

Yes, it is annoying, hasn't happened in a while though. What gets really frustrating is when you get almost all of the shortcuts back where you want them and you try to move that last one and suddenly ALL of your shortcuts are scrambled in the middle of the screen or back where you were moving them from again Then sometimes when I go to move the first one all of the shortcuts snap back to their original position. Windows always has done some weird stuff from time to time.

I've had that issue too a couple of times but with Windows update. Not had any weird stuff happen when the video card drivers update.

Once I reconfigure everything it's all good again but sometimes it lasts only until the next update.

One thing that REALLY aggravates me about Windows though, is when my systems have an update set in the queue I either lose my internet connection or the internet connection suffers from so much lag it's unusable, install the update and everything goes back to working just fine. This I've experienced on multiple computers including every work station at my last job.

I finally did the 1903 update last week and it totally screwed up all of my desktop icons

All the icons are really wide now. I can make them larger or smaller holding the control key while moving the scroll wheel, but the width to height proportions stay the same

diggiddi Search Everything by voidtools is my tool of choice, way better than what MS bundles in any of its OSes

ThrashZone Hi,
Yep depends on how closely one looks
Basic search will provide hits and most recent was cortana/ searchUI going nuts if was disabled in group policy...

Couple pages back defender update causes sfc errors yeah no big deal there

Every build borks virtualization yeah not too many people use that

I don't use 10 enough to notice a lot of the reported bugs win-7 is still my everyday os and looks like that won't change anytime soon
10 updates are a once a week deal not once a month that usually won't fly with a lot of people way to disruptive.
