I'd ask yourself, what do you use the wireless for
Do you play games ?
multiple devices connected at the same time / stream video on multiple devices?
this will determine your best bet on what you need.
a great start would suggested with at least a wireless AC-1750.
The TP-Link Archer 1750 are OK, i havent seen any gripe with those. Wireless N 450 / AC 1350.
don't set it to " AUTO " you'll have way too much fluxation.
Also to keep in mind, manually adjust your channels on each band you plan on using. It varies in each area. As an example, if you have wireless lanline phones, they normally use channel 5 / 7 and will disrupt your wireless frequency.
I have an ASUS RT-3100, i got off ebay used for 120$, it's never had an issue, runs super smooth.

If it's available to you, the TP-Link AC1750 is an excellent bang for the buck home router. I have the slightly lower powered AC1200 variant of this router and it performs flawlessly for me, with excellent range too.
I don't know the exchange rate to CAD but you should be able to buy one of these routers for around $50 USD.

Best Bank for Buck Home Router
I am shopping for a router to use as the main access point for my home internet.
I am currently on Rogers cable and have the CGN2-ROG to access the internet. The wired connection works ok however the wifi is not the greatest and there are many times that the wifi signal drops or the devices connected through wifi loose connection all together. On a side note, does anyone have any experience with this Rogers router ? is there a setting that i may be able to change to increase wifi strength?
My question is what best bang for buck router should i be shopping for? I will most likely be shopping at Canada Computers because this computer shop is local to me. I plan to use the Rogers Router in bridge mode like i have in the past before my other router stopped working.
