Seems really low to me for a Super.

NoodleGTS Just got mine! MSI RTX 2070 Super Ventus OC.

It boosts to ~2000MHz on core during benchmarks and what not.

A little over 9k in 3DMark Time Spy benchmark with my current rig (see sig).

EDIT - sig is cached - old rig. But still Ryzen 7 1700 @ 3.85GHz.

encrypted11 That would work out too! It's primarily for overriding the FE fan curve.

sp4rky I have the Super XC vanilla, should you want that. I flashed it with the FTW3Ultra for power limit headroom...

encrypted11 Does anyone have a bios dump for 2070 Super Xc Ultra Gaming?

nilssohn Thanks. And yes, but water cooling is the last step, not the first one.

As we know, it all starts with silicon lottery luck. If the core clock is high and still heavily bouncing when power limit is up, that's an indicator for clock potential a stronger BIOS can reveal.

Since there was not much choice of stronger Non A BIOSes, I had to flash the Gigabyte BIOS which is designed for three fans. That didn't fit well with the two fan connectors on my MSI Card. So either flash back and throwaway the chip's potential or put the card under water. I chose the latter.

Core clock drops by 15 MHz about every 8°C. Water Cooling with my current setup (CPU is still air cooled) reduces the core temperature about 20°C. So the gain from air to water is 30 to 45 MHz in average, not any more.

Talking about scoring in benchmarks, building a custom loop is worth the effort only with a really good chip. This one reached a peak of 2145 right from the start. These were the original Time Spy graphic scores in February/March for your orientation:

10132 with 175/200W MSI BIOS
10501 with 215/240W Gigabyte BIOS
10729 with GB BIOS and water block

Done with graphic score 5019, which makes this card second best in TSX.
