umeng2002 I still don't know how they couldn't know.

It's simple. They nurf'd the destructible environments for consoles. They made the maps smaller for consoles. They removed a lot of the vehicular combat.

Battlefield was very much a PC focused franchise, but they wanted the "CoD audience" and slowly started to neuter what made it good. Remember in Bad Company 2 where you could land a helicopter on a ledge and essentially have a mini-gun tripod and hammer an enemy position? In the later games, they made that pretty much impossible. They also almost totally removed C4 car bombs too. It's like they don't want people to be inventive and have fun outside of what the devs thought of.

Even in BFV, the maps are small and the vehicular combat is an after-thought. At least the destructible environments in BFV are better.

So, even if DICE were to green-light a Bad Company 3 I'm not convinced that it would be ANYWHERE near the quality of the first two titles.
Pretty much. Anything that touches EA becomes a husk of its former self.

Crank up levolution, destruction, and weather effects. This is a war game, so why are body parts still intact after taking devastating damage? Wheres the blood? No eazy mode either.
I've been saying this for years.

A true modern war game with the graphics of BFV/BF1 with copious amounts of gore (think the first F.E.A.R) - it's rated M anyway, might as well make it absolutely brutal. None of this "revive a soldier who has been shot in the face with a tank shell" BS.

I think CoD World at War was the last game iirc that had some serious gore - dismemberment, brutal sounds etc.

Even RDR2 is quite brutal and that's a fictitious "adventure" game.

DICE could do remaster-remaster's of both BF3/4 conquest maps and I would preorder right now. They hand some solid designers back then. I'm interested to see how much RT will be implemented on consoles. No more potato levels. Yay!

The issue with BC3 is that it not big enough for a game coming 3-4 years after BF5 and being on next-gen consoles.
