J7SC FYI re. 2080 Ti temps vs GPU MHz with various bios, voltage and fan settings, I had posted this summary (THW) a couple of months back . Seems worth a re-post, given the current discussion...best thing you can do is lower temps as much as possible. For example, between 35C and 77C, their GPU clock dropped by 150 MHz or more...

Yeah I noticed hehe. It will actually hold 2100Mhz on 1.081v if I just smash the fanspeed to 100% and only change to 2100Mhz with the curve after it heats up fully but there's no way to launch a game or benchmark on the clocks that runs when it is at idle temps.

I got it dailed in now on 2055-2070Mhz core and 8000"Mhz" memory depending on the game / load on 1.062v. Played Warzone and Borderlands 3 for a few hours with zero issues. It starts at 2115Mhz but it generally holds that long enough as it's on a way lower temperature to heat up and drop clocks accordingly and doesn't crash.

Temps sit in the mid 60's on 70% fanspeed @ ~2100 RPM (locked to 70% between 60-80c). It's audible but not obnoxiously loud or anything.

I'm running the EVGA FTW3 373w BIOS. Power limit is perfect for this cooler because it is 124% @ 373w and games run anywhere from 95-115% at above clocks so it can't never get too crazy with power and overheat like mad. Even with Superposition looping and constantly smashing 124% power it doesn't really go above 75-76c so it's pretty "safe".

So, if I look at it as a pure air OC it's actually pretty high right?

Honestly, I'm very impressed with this Gainward Phoenix GS. Seems like a pretty darn good card to have for air. I did repaste it ofcourse with PK-3. The cooler design is very efficient as it's actually quite small for a triple fan cooler and also cools both VRM and VRAM directly with the main heatsink. Parts of the VRM are even direct touch heatpipes.

question about 2080ti nvlink

hi, and thank you everyone for all the information provided here. just trying to see if i can get higher stable clocks with my 2080 tis in nvlink. i have an evga 2080 ti xc ultra and an evga 2080 ti xc in nvlink. i noticed that i was only getting just over 1900mhz in heaven when running in sli, and when i looked at the voltage frequency curves for the two cards in msi afterburner, i noticed that the xc card had a lower curve than the xc ultra, thereby needing higher voltage compared to the xc ultra card when trying to maintain the same clock speeds. i thought this was related to the bios versions for the two cards so i went ahead and flashed both to the galax 380w bios successfully. now i re-enabled SLI after both cards were flashed to the same bios and its still happening. the voltage curve for one card is for some reason lower than the other, so one is only pushing 950mv while the other card needs 1037mv to push the same clock speeds. im not sure what the discrepancy is or how to fix it. the perf cap reason for the card with the lower voltage requirement is SLI, so im assuming that the reason for the cap is because of the clock speeds of the other clock. the perf cap reason for the other card is vrel and SLI, and occasionally power, so this card seems to be pushed to the max, although the wattage is still only around 240w and this bios has a 380w limit. can anyone help?
