Ok there killer of dreams and destroyer of hopes........jeeeeze.
You're right of course, but damn! I was hoping against hope.
Just adjusted my expectations based on 2 consecutive years of the same outcome, now 3rd year in a row.
Similarly with actual clocks, one of my main reasons to pull the gun and get a first gen ryzen back in 2017 was expecting that, oh well even if the clocks, raw performance, and OC headroom aren't there, I'll just plug a ryzen 3000 in 2019 and be golden.
However, as we all know, that didn't pan out, the whole series doesn't have that much OC headroom in the ~$250 range, the raw performance of the 3600 is better, but below my expectations, It just isn't worth it to change a 1600. So I'm being optimistic for 4600
When is the question. Force nv to drop the TI super, n beat it by 2%? Then what when 3080 comes in a few very short months. Or maybe the 2080ti S just wont ever come.
We know 2080ti with super memory alone is 10% faster.
Side note - I’m convinced the passage of time is accelerating

I have no illusions about a potential 2080ti killer being cheap, but I'll bet it won't be anywhere near as expensive. I also have no doubt that if true, nVidia would reclaim the crown in short order. Even so, it doesn't matter what nVidia does. There are plenty of disaffected people who would gladly "settle" for a top tier card at a lower cost.
I will not pay the prices that nVidia currently demand. I just won't do it and I think there are many like me.

Saw that, if true exactly what I've been waiting for! Need to up my VR performance.
The thing is, many ppl are assuming this is the 5800XT, maybe its the nonXT.
