trendy I forgot what it was to be an enthusiast. I've been secretly waiting for a good OLED TV at a smaller size and/or a monitor that doesn't cost $4k. I'm waiting for this 48'' TV with baited breath, it might end up being the reason I get a new video card.

still good to see it making it to "official" channels, instead of just "insiders confirm!"

these new consoles 100% usher in the 4K gaming revolution, and its about god damn time. I'd even say they're gonna usher in the VR revolution as well. We're all still just beta testing 4K & VR. I was really hoping Hell Blade 2 came out in VR oh well. can't get everything in one year, n so far 2021 is stacking up to be an epic year. (since all this cool stuff releases at the end of this year)

give it 4-5 years. we won't be calling em TVs or monitors anymore. just screens/panels.

For a bit over $1,000 you are getting a 4k 120hz HDR1000 screen with the best image quality out there, and the only trade off is higher input lag than a standard monitor (although it's still pretty good compared to most TVs).

Most monitors with comparable specs using an inferior LED screen but with a lower 5m/s input latency are 2x or 3x the cost.
The C9 only has 6.5m/s of input lag at 120hz. I wouldn't exactly call that a tradeoff. Most monitors are worse.

JackCY Yeah but with 480Hz and a rolling pixel scan. ETA only 480 years.

8k OLEDs out now huh, well this one looks busted

55" 8K with 200% scaling for ultra-sharp text.

one day you'll be able to play GTA V in 8k on a large oled

but in the short term start saving for all the new video cards you need to buy this year.

(I hope someone comes out with a DP to hdmi 2.1 soon.. the new cards are still a bit off.)

Zurv Well.. put in the order today to expand my desk.... so i could fit this TV (ugh... which cost more than the TV will be.. )

I think i'll use my Dell OLED as a second screen. I wonder if i'll game on my desktop with this here. I have the 77" oled already .. and that has a sofa (and a dog)
