Here new PC with a fresh install of Win 10 Pro and fresh AMD driver 2020 edition and with a RX 5700 XT still had YouTube problems and had to disable hardware acceleration. AMD/ATI has never cared about this issue and it's hard to pin down who to blame AMD or Google.

|CDub07||Not here to single out the OP but people lately starting to blame AMD software for all kind of issues. I had this issue way before the new software came out and it was on a Asus Radeon RX 580. It wasn't every time. But it would happen maybe once a week. Disabled it and no more issues. Crazy thing is I gave this same card to my nephew and he has no issues out of it without any adjustments. If AMD could do one thing its probably start better binning of the GPU dies so AIB partners can clearly sell a OC'ed card properly and not just increase voltage to get to a higher clock. Same process as the 3rd Gen Ryzen die.|

Telling ya..open youtube vid--right click--disable hardware acceleration.
It takes timing. Sometimes one has to do that, others you don't.

|Gunderman456||Always had issues with it and always disabled hardware acceleration as far back as ATI Radeon 9800 Pro if memory serves. Problem was worse under Crossfire.|

I think I know how to fix this..
You go to Youtube..start a vid and then right-click real quick..then "disable hardware acceleration"
You have to be fast, may take a try or 5.

Yes. with HWA on, i have a tear in the middle of my screen, with newest adrenalin driver. I am rocking a cheap RX 590 to get me by in a used parts pc. Its annoying. It goes away when i turn HWA off in chrome.
what is odd, its only Twitch that I see the tear in teh middle of screen. YT and other sites with media are fine.
