Yuriewitsch I'm already placing a little amount of paste and tried like 3 different pastes and best results I have with Gelid GP-Extreme (maybe because is a little more "thin/washy" than others). I don't know, maybe my Morpheus's base is not perfectly even or something.

I guess that chip on these 5700s is tiny, density is high (7 nm process), so not enough efficient heat transfer betweeen core and cooler.
Try with less thermal paste, had my hotspot reaching 100c, after putting just a tiny line went down in the 90s

Yuriewitsch Yeah, I don't worry about it, I played some games with no FPS limiter and after like 2 hours playing there was on hot spot temp 78°C, other temps in between 55-70°C.

qwertymac93 Oh yeah, the ultra stress test is intense. Really though, other than the hotspot it all looks great. Even a 95c peak is fine. It wont throttle till 110c on the stock vBIOS and real world gaming will be a few degrees cooler so you still have about 15c of headroom. Just look at how much better your memory and VRM temperatures are compared to mine at similar clocks/volts! I max out at [email protected] though, my non-XT card isn't as nice as your XT .

That's 250W of power! 0_0
My 24/7 settings are [email protected] which drops power to a more sane ~180W.

Yuriewitsch Srry for delay, I didn't have much time lately to get to that 3DMark stress test.

Here it is, 20 loops:

Good temps, I think.
But that hot spot temp tho. :-/

Cheers.

qwertymac93 Well, 20 loops is the default for the stress test if I recall correctly. I've never even tried to change it, but 15 is probably just as well. Memory temps don't change much after the first 15 minutes.

Yeah, I gotta get me a dremel.

Yuriewitsch Thx.
Cmon, your mod is doing absolutely fine. If it performs, who cares about the look.

Maybe those cuts looks so clean, because I'm doing my mods very patiently and precisely as much as I can (maybe a little OCD?, I don't know, I can't help it.) :-)

No CNC or drill press. Biggest help was purchase of this accessory (https://www.dremel.com/en_US/product...se-cutting-kit) for my dremel tool (https://www.dremel.com/en_US/product...ed-rotary-tool).

If I will have time to do those 20 (isn't that too much :-)) runs of Firestrike Extreme, I will try to post some results. No promises tho.

qwertymac93 WOW, your front plate looks great and has my rank amateur heatsink mounting look pathetic!
How did you cut the aluminium? Drill press? CNC? It looks so clean.
What is your memory junction temp after a full 20 loop Firestrike extreme stress test? That seems to get my memory temps the hottest.
My non-XT card's memory peaks at 88c(26c ambient) when clocked at 1850 with my abomination mounted on it. It only hits 68c during the bench, though.

1gordon1 I got the Gigabyte OC version - these are the pics from yesterdays disassembly, with the original thermal paste on it.
Im thinking about buying some 0,5 mm washers on my way home today, do you guys think it would help?
