Xigamatek Bolt thru Kit here is about $14.00AU so would be cheaper there and then the Shipping costs would be around $10.00 - $15.00AU approx.

I might pick up a G31 Gigabyte motherboard since I will need a cheap but good micro atx motherboard with onboard video that will at least push my future Q6600 (should come in the mail on Tuesday) to 3.0.

Yes as easy as just setting the FSB to 333 x9 with the Ram set to x2.4 if you are using 800spd Ram

Nicely done, your homemade bolt thru kit looks really good.
I know this is of topic but is it fairly easy to get the q6600 to 3.0 on the gigabyte G31 board?
