Those are some Ruby links I found. Granted, there are tons, they look like a good place to start.
I still don't grasp how it works, though.

|Legion Kreinak||Ah, damn. I'm new to programming entirely. To be honest, I can't fathom how a bunch of texted code turns into, in RPG Maker's case, complex battle systems and alteration of graphics and queues for events layered on top of one another. They make it sound so simple, but I just don't really follow it.|

Sadly, no. It's a language I've been meaning to play with.
The information you'd get on the Ruby website would be related to Ruby in a "standard" environment, running as a standalone interpreter or as a module in an http daemon. I imagine that the most relevant guides for using Ruby in the context of RPG Maker XP would be from RPG Maker XP's documentation and examples.

|Legion Kreinak||I believe so. I'd have to go reinstall it - it stopped working on my computer for several reasons, so I'm waiting to build my new rig before I go at it again. Do you know anything about Ruby?|

|Legion Kreinak||Does anyone here know what RUBY is? It's used to script RPGs in this program called RPG Maker XP that I have. I have no idea how to use it, but I've always wanted to learn. The free, online tutorials or the guide provided from the Ruby website is a bit complex. I still can't follow how coding leads to graphics and action displayed on screen. Can someone help me?|
