alancsalt CPUcool supposedly works for 960.

According to Google search Dell Optiplex needs a modification to be able to OC

MrBreeze Again, no way to be sure unless you post a pic. Show us the IC you found with its labeling and let's see if we can figure it out.

yeah no i found that a while ago hence the "have tried everything" it is slx85131 or something very close to that i cant remember it right now i have it written down but am not at home right this second.
setfsb doesnt have the pll in its optionsand have tried every one that is out there so far all to no avail.

You are looking for chip soldered to the surface of the board that is on the larger side and likely labeled with ICS followed by a series of numbers and letters. It will be near a clock crystal which will have an oval metal cover. Here's an example of what you're looking for:

1033ruben HELLO TO ALL, does anyone know how to set the fsb on an optiplex 960 i have tried everything, it has a q9650 quad core in it right now and chipset is q45/Q43.

ClockHaas Hello,

I searched at my motherboard end Google without result for the PLL for my Fujitsu D2950-A1 board, it is a nVidia nForce 7100-630i chipset ( MCP73PV ).

I hope somebody knows, thanks.
