because most people have never had to make a bootable floppy before. Most companies nowadays make an exe file that can be extracted on a floppy that puts the BIOS file on a floppy and makes the disc bootable at the same time so people don't necessarily ever have to manually make a bootable floppy. I learned how to do it when I flashed the BIOS on my 7800GT. In reality there are many more people who don't know how to make a bootable floppy than one might expect.

With regards to the bootable floppy, i really thinks it has do to with age. People that have run dos machines and later spend hours formatting their 80 mb hd´s, know what it is. Other people will meet it for the first time when they want to do something specific like this. Thats my 2 cents, well it´s more like 2 øre cause im danish.

soloz2 at 500/1200 I get arctifacts in ati tool... I can't see them but apparently they're there. I ran 3dmark06 and it raised my score about 80 points moving from 485/1200 to 500/1200

soloz2 well it worked, but my optimal detect went from like 495/1160 to 504/1170 not as high of a gain as I would have liked. I know my memory is stable at 1200 so idk why it never detects any higher

and to create a bootable floppy. Insert a floppy, right click on your A: drive. click format, then check make an MS-DOS floppy.

thanks for that, I'll take a look at it when I get home this afternoon!

comments like that are just plain unnecessary. And no, I don't know how to make a bootable floppy. I've never had to do it before. Any previous BIOS flashes I've done have been for mobos and they typically have everything set up so you can just run an .exe and it sets everything up for you. But just bc I don't know how to make a bootable floppy doesn't mean I don't know anything. Maybe my expertise happens to lie in other aspects of computers and overclocking. Please think before you post. This is a community and many people will take offense at comments like this. (including me)

Why do you insist on coming off with an aditude? After all, we're all here for the same thing.
