I'm thinking of freezing me VRM in a biostar TA990FXE while doing some DICE runs.
Do anyone think it is a good idea to do it with proper insutation?

There shouldn't be any need. When you're freezing the chip, the cold transfers through the board and cools the VRM's from the PCB.

(This isn't how it actually works--cold doesn't transfer, only heat. The heat is drawn away from the VRM's to the places on the board around the CPU with lower temperatures).
