The new core21 version has been moved out of beta and into full production. https://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=29633&p=292683#p292683

We are pleased to announce the release of core 21 v0.0.18 to full FAH.

This release contains a workaround for a change made in the NVIDIA OpenCL driver introduced in drivers starting with 375.57, as well as some improvements to error handling codes.

While a slight reduction in performance may be observed, this performance regression should be eliminated when NVIDIA removes the hotfix in forthcoming driver updates.

There is a known issue that this release will, for some projects, print sporadic messages to the log due to a known visualizer bug:

05:34:52:WARNING:FS01:Size of positions 64914 does not match topology 19

This issue does not affect the quality of the science, and a workaround is already in testing for v0.0.19, which we hope to release in a week.

Thank you all for your patience.

I have been running the updated core21 on my 1050ti for the last few days, and it has worked without a hitch.  :D

My 1050ti is running in Linux on NVIDIA driver 375.26.  The Linux drivers never got the hotfix, so previously all core21 WUs would instantly fail.

I have no issues in Linux on 2 different systems, one with a 1050ti and one with a 1070.  It sounds like that error is a non-issue, and won't affect folding.  Tough to tell performance on my 1050ti, since I haven't seen any other results from Linux.

Other than the topology error have you had any issues?  I have had my 1050ti running the fixed core version 24/7 for 5 days without a hiccup.

oh yeah, it isn't a folding breaking issue in fact its known that it'll throw those errors up. i just see a ton of people posting about this and also adding in nvidia... as if there is a connection. so i mentioned that my amd rig gets em too

EDIT: btw how is the 1050ti? i'm considering getting one for my fathers desktop (4790s 16gb ram) and i'd fold on it

The 1050ti is a pretty sweet little card.  I just posted a bunch of WU info in the Infinty thread. https://www.overclock.net/t/813932/infinity/5850_50#post_25817987

that ain't half bad! having one of those with a bit of an overclock would fill in nicely with my current rigs.
