Ordered the following tonight:
Asus Rampage VI Apex
Primochill PrimoFlex elegant white tubing 1/2" ID 3/4" OD
(6) Noctua NF-A14 iPPC-3000 PWM
(1) Noctua NF-F12 iPPC-3000 PWM
HWLabs Nemesis GTR 420 mm
Still need to decide on the follow parts:
Fan PWM header
8 pin EPS cables
30 or 45 degree fittings
man! how to be you??? sexy rig..
Got my motherboard, 420 rad, tubing, and memory in this week:
Got the motherboard in and rainbow lights lit:
I installed the first GPU, RAM, and did a little cable management. Not easy with the monster EVGA power cables.
I will probably move the 8 pin CPU cables to the side holes as otherwise they can't bend enough to fit the top rad.
The tubing matches the case nicely
Still waiting on the screws to install the rads and fans. Those will really be key.
It's nice to see this starting to look like a computer rather than a $5000 pile of parts in the corner.
I have the 2nd Aorus and the EK Monoblock on order. I plan to buy the following:
Samsung 960 Evo 1TB
EK-XRES 140 Revo D5 RGM PWM pump/res
Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut
Alphacool Eiszapfen 19/13 Fittings (13)
EK-AF Angled 45 G1/4 (3)
EK-AF Ball Valve
Monsoon T Fitting
Alphacool MTM Rotary Fitting
Fan hub (undecided)
4 pin fan cables
That should, hopefully, be everything.
Got the screws in tonight and put the 420 rad/shroud/fans together. It was much more difficult than anticipated, none of the holes lined up correctly:
The fan spacing of the rad is 15.5mm, I don't know what the spacing is on the Little Devil shroud but apparently it's different. Couldn't find it anywhere online. Nothing the power drill couldn't solve
I drilled all of the holes out with a 1/4" drill bit, everything went in perfect after that. The shroud didn't need to be threaded as well, it just made everything more of a pain since the threads on the radiator do the job just fine.
Fits perfect in the case:
I will put together the 280 rad/fans/shroud tomorrow. I plan to leak test both outside of the case to make sure I didn't damage them during assembly.
I picked up the monoblock today. Same Ebay seller as my 7980XE, lol:
Got enough LEDs, made these go bye-bye
Gonna use it without the cover, I think it looks better that way.
Also went ahead and ordered all of my watercooling fittings tonight, an EK XRES 140 RGB PWM pump/res, and a Samsung 960 Evo 1TB. The extra $155 for the Pro didn't seem to be worth it, since they're so close in performance. Some tests have even shown the Evo to be faster.
Hopefully that should be everything for parts.
