Change 'last' to 'last comment read'

Good Afternoon,

In the previous iteration of OCN regarding thread viewing, we had a marker for 'last comment read' instead of 'Last'. The current view of any thread is the first page if you enter it. Now we have to find or remember where we left off in the conversation (if its a long thread, i've lost it). Having this link back would help navigation immensely. I ask please have this on the punch list. Thank you.

Both if possible. I see that the mobile version doesn't even have page numbers on the threads. Its just an observation, I fully know the Admins are working their butts off. :p

Oh, well, 'Last' is the last page. It always has been. I thought you were talking about something else.

What you may be looking for is View First Unread. It's something that isn't showing 24/7 on this platform on the thread's pages. It shows when there's an unread post, but then it goes away when you've read the post. On Huddler, it was always there no matter what. I often used it just to go to the very last post in a thread - while I was looking at the thread.

There is a Go to Last post button next to thread titles though. It's the arrow icon that points to the right.

On Mobile, well, I don't really know what it looks like.

As TwoCables says if there is an unread post in a thread there is a button to jump to your first unread post. You can check my image here https://www.overclock.net/forum/15167...nofficial.html also once in the thread on the far left of the thread tools bar there is another jump button with the same V and labeled "View First Unread"

Lets make this easy.

If I go to redcafe.net (a Manchester United supporters forum) and am logged in, then click on the thread title of a thread that lets say ive read up to page 76 of a total of 90 pages and on the 76th page ive read up to the 7th comment; then the forum software they use will take me to the 76th page and the 8th comment.

I dont need to trawl through pages and comments trying to find where I last posted.

The same is true for lets say anandtech.com

Currently overclock.net does not act this way.

I would have though that in 2019 such a 'feature' would be standard across web based internet forum software.

Is something wrong with my account, is this the default actions of the software being used here ??
