Strange Brigade™ may experience intermittent application crashes when using DirectX®12 API.

Oh joy. With the 18.10.2 drivers Vulkan black screens and now DX12 may have problems too. Gonna install these drivers asap.

EDIT: Vulkan now works and DX12 also works so this is a win/win situation! Methinks this one is a keeper.

Are they ever going to sort out the elevated clocks issue? It's been ongoing since Vega's launch, i mean really.

Whats the issue? I have lots of cards on several rigs, and no issues at all.

Also, come on, driver update again? I Clean installed like a week ago T_T. This one should bring some performance increase though, so why not...

RTG has been on a tear with fixing bugs! It's incredible. I have no experienced any elevated memory clocks issues. I only experience an issue with their awful GPU boost that makes overclocking non-existent on Vega.

I heard that.

So just installed it no issues, BUT has anyone else noticed that AB is now not reporting gpu usage at all, it's stuck on 0% for me. Even tried reinstalling it.

Edit: Never mind, easy fix. GPU unified usage monitoring has to be off.

You can't overclock at all? I'm still in monkey see, monkey do mode and gamed for hours last night with these drivers at 1680mhz and 1050mhz with good temps on air. What issues should i be looking for?

I have a RX Vega 64 LC that I replaced the AIO with an EK waterblock. I can overclock my HBM2 and I keep it at 1105Mhz. The core overclocking is terrible. I have the LC which max boost is 1750Mhz on the core. The only way to see 1750Mhz+ is to undervolt otherwise the card reached 365w and starts to throttle. Some games don't use that much power so when the card is undervolted it spikes up to 1800Mhz on menu screens and crashes. I currently have my card at 1200mV for the P7 since I know the highest speed it boost up to is 1760Mhz which is stable for my card. In games I see 1700-1730Mhz.

When I bench I run it at 1175mV and I see boost speeds of up to 1750Mhz in 3DMark and around 1780-1800Mhz in games which cause a crash.

I agree that the Vega bios sucks. I like my Fury much better. I'm not pushing mine so hard and have the opposite problem. In games it rarely hits 1640mhz and usually runs in the 800-900mhz range while delivering low fps. It would be nice if it could hit a happy medium.

On topic: This driver is still performing well with slightly better frame rates.
