3DMark Port Royal, DirectX Raytracing benchmark
Real-time ray tracing promises to bring new levels of realism to in-game graphics. Port Royal uses DirectX Raytracing to enhance reflections, shadows, and other effects that are difficult to achieve with traditional rendering techniques. As well as benchmarking performance, 3DMark Port Royal is a realistic and practical example of what to expect from ray tracing in upcoming games—ray tracing effects running in real-time at reasonable frame rates at 2560 × 1440 resolution.

To run Port Royal, you need the Windows 10 October 2018
Update (1809) and a graphics card with drivers that support
Microsoft DirectX Raytracing.

Now can someone run this with a Titan V and see what the score is?

Port Royal's current HoF is probably the best marketing material for Turing.

Better watch the slideshow played realtime on YouTube.

I asked the Titan V owner thread and the score is horrible.

Thanks. As I suspected. People thought the Titan V could do just as well in RTX since it runs the same with RTX on in BF5 as 2080Ti does. However since I already knew BF5 did not actually use ray tracing when RTX is on I knew a real ray tracing test would show the difference, and sure enough it does. And the score actually lines up perfectly with what Nvidia already showed us in their own demo of Titan V vs 2080Ti on ray tracing performance.

So I just ran this on my 2080 and good god the frame-times are HIGHHHHH. found that very interesting. And almost zero CPU utilization, but I guess thats the point? But I mean, in the real world, the CPU IS in fact going to bear some of the brunt on the system, right? Regardless of the GPU? I scored 6025 on my msi 2080 gaming trio

Finally, something you can actually use RTX for.

RTX cards in general or RTX platform?

The Titan V vs the RTX Titan is the perfect example to show the performance of RT cores when it comes to DxR(which is also hybrid ray tracing) performance.

The benchmark is a DxR benchmark which means that it utilizes RT cores. The Tensor cores aren't being used since it's DxR benchmark.

Tensor cores are used in combination of the RT cores with the RTX platform.

I'm shocked how quickly the RTX platform is being adopted. In 6 months of the RTX 2080 Ti release date we'll have a total of 3 RTX titles available for download. Anthem and Metro Exodus release in February. We're going to have 11 titles by the end of 2019 which is a year and 4 months from the release of the card.

Since the release of DirectX 12(July 29,2015) we've only had 40 titles.
