2080 (Ti) NVLink and G-Sync - effect on FPS

I was wondering if Turing suffers FPS loss in SLI/NVLink with G-Sync enabled (like Pascal cards do). Somehow, I haven't been able to find a definite answer so would appreciate if someone how has this setup could confirm.

Wasn't there a ton of videos were having gsync and sli/nvlink dropped the frames unbearably low thee performance hit was really bad.

Tested on Pascal and a CPU that should never come to be linked with dual GPU set ups.

I've been wondering this as well. I've seen some sparse comments here or there that the problem apparently has gone away on the RTX 2000 series but no concrete evidence or graphs or anything to prove it.

This guy here did a test for me and it seems the issue remains on Turing https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/akntbb/turing_rtx_2000_series_and_gsync/

Would really like some proper review on this and comparison with FreeSync. This issue is not with SLI only but a single GPU too. That dude was reportedly losing 30+ fps on a 2080ti cause of gsync.

Maybe this is why they enabled freesync there gsync just isn't working on the peasant level instead need to pony up for gsync ultimate.
