Hey man, I know you posted this a while ago. This is such an amazing idea.
How long does the battery life last? And does it mess up the 'battery life' reading in the Logitech gaming software interface?
Basically, can you list me the pros n cons if you've used the button cell battery for a while now?

Your reply would be greatly appreciated :)

Thank you!!

Get small lipo and a wireless charging module. Put a charging coil under your mousepad. Swisscheese what ever you want out of the mouse. Never worry about battery charging again.

I switched to using A675 hearing aid batteries with 600mAh. They should last 2 weeks with 4h of gaming a day. I actually started 3D printing shells for the G305. Might make a post soon.

Oh my goodness! Is the battery more lightweight? I followed your tutorial and am loving the lightweight G305 - so thank you for that :)
I put the G305 in a different shell and managed to get it to 35 grams; I'll post pics sometime on /r/mousereview maybe. Can the A675 battery be recharged?

i would love to do this, but I have no idea how. Are you able to refer me to a link? Would it damage the mouse, considering that the G305 does not have POWERPLAY?

Really excited to hear your response. Thank you :)

if you're putting the wireless charging coil right under the mouse, would you need a battery, or would a capacitor suffice?

Is that possible? I know Razer has done this. What I really mean is - can this be done to the G305, and if so, how do you do it? Because I would be onto this so quickly.

Thanks :)

I'd would be a significant mod, yes. and honestly I have no idea whether it would work with G Powerplay.

But getting it to work in a specific "parking" spot on the mouse mat would be relatively easy.

You'd need a:

Lithium battery:

Charging module:

Charging coil for the mouse:

buck converter(to lower the voltage to 1.5v for the mouse):

Finally any mousemat of your choice with qi wireless charging build in.
