[NVIDIA] Our Latest Game Ready Driver Optimizes Apex Legends, Devil May Cry 5 and The Division II, and Adds Support For New G-SYNC Compatible Gaming Monitors

Quote:

Our newest Game Ready Driver introduces optimizations and updates for Apex Legends, Devil May Cry 5, and Tom Clancy’s The Division II, giving you the best possible experience from the second you start playing.
In addition, we continue to optimize and improve already-released games, such as Metro Exodus, AnthemTM, and BattlefieldTM V, which are included in our new GeForce RTX Triple Threat Bundle.

Today, our newest driver is adding support for three additional monitors that have passed G-SYNC Compatible validation. This means there’s no blanking, pulsing, flickering, ghosting or other artificating during VRR gaming. And that they can operate in VRR at any game framerate by supporting a VRR range of at least 2.4:1 (e.g. 60Hz-144Hz), in addition to offering a seamless experience by enabling VRR by default when the driver is installed and the monitor plugged in.

Issue:
I have a 2080ti + 7820x 3600 ram x33 predator.

I used DDU in safemode. I try to install this from my regular desktop and it started the install but hung on the "checking the system" part of the driver load... then it closed up and I have driver 411.xx ...but really didn't take but a few seconds...

What I had to do was after that .. I just started to re-install v419.35 and I click clean install under the custom install setting to get V419.35 to install

This happening with anyone else?

In addition to the optimizations for these games, the 419.35 WHQL drivers add support for three new G-Sync Compatible monitors, displays previously lacking G-Sync that Nvidia newly certified as G-Sync capable, a practice the vendor started in January (partially to throw shade at AMD FreeSync for, according to Nvidia, not actually working as advertised). Those monitors are the Acer ED273A, Acer XF250Q and BenQ XL2540-B (also known as the Zowie XL LCD). That brings the total count of G-Sync Compatible monitors from 12 to 15.

Does Apex Legends still randomly crash with these drivers? 418.XX were a no go for me.

Apex Legends crashes even on 417.71, it's the damn game, often it simply closes for no reason or you get the DXGI error, or some people were getting ALT+TABbed but that never happened to me. The game is super buggy and laggy :( Cheaters and exploits I could live with, they are in every game especially Source engine game, but the bugs and lags are super annoying and not so hard to avoid from developer side.

If you can't install an NV driver then you need the DCH variant because your OS will automatically install say 411 DCH after you DDU in safe mode. You can check in the driver info in it's control panel what version you have.

Supposedly they fixed the DXGI error in this release.

That's a go for me, then.

I can confirm these drivers solved my crash issues with 418.XX. Gameplay is smooth and clean.

Nice. I haven't had a legit Nvidia driver issue in a long, long time, but I used to run SLI and multi-monitor.

I rolled back and been on 417.xx for awhile due to apex legends loosing its marbles on any new driver.

Ill give this new one a try today. Fingers crossed it worked

It seems to have capped my fps at 60fps.

Edit: NVM i just had to restart.

419.xx gave me issues strangely, I'm still a bit hesitant to update to this. Any reason to if youre not on an RTX card and don't give a crap about Apex legends or whatever it is?

So how is this 419 driver? Any broken cards or other hardware failures, not spinning fans, crashes, bugs, poor performance? You know the usual Nvidia issues?
