Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint - a follow-up to Ghost Recon Wildlands - has been revealed.
Breakpoint is set on the fictional archipelago of Auroa in the Pacific Ocean. Set for release on October 4 for PC, Xbox One and PS4, the game will follow on from Wildlands by allowing full 4-player co-op across its stealth-action focused open world. It will also launch with an (as-yet unspecified) PvP mode.

The Wildlands sequel will be available Oct. 4.

Previous thread title: [VGR] Ubisoft Is Teasing A New Ghost Recon Game Via A Fictional Tech Convention

Quote:

Ubisoft has a lot of well-known gaming properties under its purview, including several Tom Clancy-based properties. Recently, a combination of in-game and real-life teasers have led fans to surmise that a new game reveal is incoming. What exactly this new game is part of isn’t yet known, but odds are it’ll be a Tom Clancy title.

It all began late last year when Ubisoft fans discovered a real working website for a company called Skell Technology. Skell Technology is a (fictional) cutting edge tech company which has been referenced in several Ubisoft Tom Clancy games. References to Skell originally appeared in Rainbow Six Siege, but they’re not the only ones. More recently, Skell was directly mentioned in the new Ghost Recon Wildlands Operation Oracle mission.

Around the same time as the Ghost Recon mission’s release, a new page went live on the Skell website. The page advertises “SkellCon,” a convention set to begin in just a few days on May 9. No further details about what SkellCon is are provided on the page.

Looks like Ubisoft is doing some interesting marketing for the next Ghost Recon game. Lots of in game hints have been found over the last few months with many more showing up recently. This is the way to advertise a new game in an existing series in you ask me.

I'm guessing this will also tie into Watch Dogs 3.

it'll be just as boring as wildlands, maybe

I'm sorry games other than Fortnite and such don't appeal to you. Wildlands is not a kids game. It has a pretty large player base and was Ubisoft's best selling Tom Clancy game of all time.

I thoroughly enjoyed wildlands and look forward to a potential successor.

I made it through to the end but yeah, it felt pretty copy paste by then. A bit shorter and it would've been fine for me. That said....

First off if no one recognizes the voice and name, this game isnt aimed at you. Ubisoft, please do NOT screw this up!!!! The last one was terrible.

I played the beta for wildlands, and I was interested but I didn't buy it until maybe 6 months ago or so during a steam sale. Sooo glad I did. Ended up getting a second copy for my GF and we played the whole game co-op. We are now on our second play through on the highest difficulty.

If you got bored of this game, try a harder difficulty. This is one of those games that is best when you play on the hardest setting. The AI is much more believable, and when you make progress it's very satisfying.

This video sums up the game pretty well for anyone interested:
I also think this video is relevant here:

I'm sorry games other than Wildlands and such don't appeal to you. Fortnite is not a simple, boring game. It has a pretty large player base and was Epic's most profitable game of all time.

Cool story kid.

Anyway, I found another piece of the Ubiverse puzzle.

In one of the images Ubisoft has up teasing the reveal, it shows a soldier outfitted in some sort of advanced gear with dog tag that say "Cole D". As it turns out this connection is explained in New Dawn here: I figured out who Cole is.. or at least a clue. Hes a tech specialist of some kind that worked with Sam Fisher. I found a reference to him in Far Cry New Dawn. Timestamped it here:

Infact... this easter egg connects a lot of dots and I believe explains the back story of the Ubiverse.

This note refers to the nuke that went off at the end of Far Cry 5. It goes on to state that all the global nuclear powers retaliated and caused a nuclear fallout. This explains what happened to the world in the Division games and also probably ties into assassins creed but I don't know enough about assassins creed to connect those dots very well... but my guess is that the time travel stuff in assassins creed is an attempt to change the timeline to prevent various disasters from happening, this being one of them.

So now we know that the fallout in the Ubiverse was caused by nuclear war, which started with the events of far cry 5.
