Windows 7 vs Windows 10??

I am formatting my computer, I am struggling to decide on which windows to install.
Windows 10 does not ask user whether to install upadates or not.

Let me know your views on which to choose version of window.

You can now wait up to 35 days before installing the next major update on Windows 10
There also also programs that can change layout and settings to make Windows 10 better and more like Windows 7

All updates and support for Windows 7 ends early next year so you are going to have to switch to Windows 10 anyway if you still want updates and support
I still dislike Windows 10 its been almost nothing but problems but i have fixed most of them by now i think, am using 4 programs to make Windows 10 better

Hi,
What is the computer ?
No real reason not to install both
Install 7 on it's own ssd
Remove it and install 10 on it's own ssd.

Connect both and boot to which ever os you want to use.

Save the trouble and move on. Eventually you will have to give up 7, unless you are willing to pay the exhorbitant fees for MS to keep supporting you. You will be better off. Embrace change. Usually ends up better, even if it starts worse.

If you game, Windows 10 for DX12. If you don't game and are against Linux, then I'd probably still pick W10.

You want to play Cyberpunk 2077? Install Win 10. I will have to by April of next year. Hopefully on a new rig but the PC industry is in turmoil right now.

I'm still waiting for a Windows I like better than Windows 2000 SP4.

W10 with all the features you dislike turned off...like forced updates. I've never had any updates on 10 that I didn't manually install.

NTlite + Windows 10 = Profit

I honestly do not require all the extra bits and pieces Windows 10 comes with and prefer a much more slim OS. I use NTLite to create a cleaned ISO of the OS, remove all the clutter and un-needed features as well as pre-reconfigure and automate the install process. Once you do that you can virtually take Windows 10 back to the more streamlined Windows 7 people love.

Doesn't that severely limit the amount of physical memory you can use?
