Finally upgrading my 3770K but to what? AMD or Intel?

I'm currently running a 3770K @ 4.4 Ghz and a 1060, and I'm feeling like upgrading.

I'm going to be getting a 1070Ti this year and my workload is a even split between gaming and video editing on Premiere.

My options would be the AMD 3700X or Intel 9900K and I'm kind of leaning towards AMD just because of the option for a next generation upgrade or even another after that. As far as I know the Intel Z390 platform is now a dead end.

Thoughts?

EDIT:
Here's my options.

Used 9900K + New Z390-E
New 3700X + Used X470-F
Up above costs around 587 USD

New 3700X + New X570-E
New 3900X + Used X470-F
Up above costs about 783.45 USD

I could also wait for prices of Ryzen 3000 to go down locally over here, but my problem is waiting with no definite time is annoying to me... I like knowing when something is coming or finishing.

AMD only promised support for AM4 until 2020, no? I wouldn't use it as a selling point, we're already more than half done with 2019.

3700X is $150 cheaper than the 9900K, why are your options 3700X or 9900K? I'd take the 9900K over the 3700X but I'd take the 3900X over a 9900K.

Second that. If you have ~$500 budget and are trying to choose between Intel or AMD, go for the 3900X.

The 3600 will be an upgrade. Maybe not as much as the 9900K or 3900X but you will have left over for a better GPU. Sell the GTX 1060.

I mean if I go AMD atleast I have the option for a 4th Gen 12 Core CPU without changing boards, unlike Intel where the 9900K is the best I'll ever get?

Why the 3700X and 9900K? Because right now I can get a brand new 3700X or a two month old 9900K for the same price. Board for the AMD would be more expensive if I got X570, but would cost the same as Intel if I got X470. ( X570-E, X470-F, and Z390-E )

Can't sell the 1060 since I'm going to carry that over with the 3770K for my sister.

Cool. The six core Ryzen 3600 is about as good as those 8 cores in Premier. When prices for the 12 cores settle next year, replace it with a R9 3950. Even an Asus X570 Tuff will handle the 12 core. You'd get at least 250$ extra for a better gpu. Maybe a 2070 Super or the AIB RX 5700XT.

The R5 3600 is about as fast as a i7 8700K.

There is nothing wrong with a used cpu as long as they didn't get to crazy with the overclocking. 9900k>3700x so at the same price that's what I'd do.

Person selling the 9900K is a friend of a friend that is forced to sell it along with his other possessions like cars for baby medical bills.

He barely used it.

Won't a 3700X still perform better than a 9900K though? Since better IPC? From what I can tell the Intel 9900K only has the lead in gaming because developers optimize more on the Intel chip than AMD.

Upgrading from a 3770K @4.4 to a newer CPU will do almost nothing for gaming. A way better upgrade would be for you to keep your CPU and get a GeForce 1080TI or 2070/2080... just the best GPU you can afford.

My workload is split between gaming and video rendering on premiere. Not purely gaming.
