Did you get this 3600 recently? Maybe the zen 2's have more good quality chips now.

Yes, it seems that the most recent are of higher quality.

i bought it two weeks ago . I can look at the box for the production date if you know how to learn it from the box.

Maybe give realbench a try? It's video encoding and gpu cuda work so it puts a normal amount of load on the cpu and some load on the memory controller and pci-e links, a good test for everyday stability.

2600ryzen 11-17-2019 04:08 AM

Yeah I think realbench is a good stress test. The other stress tests run your cpu ridiculously hotter than they would ever run in real life causing your overclock to fail purely because of thermal stress.
But in a worse case scenario the OP overclock is stable or within 25mhz of being stable, it's nice to see the quality of the newer 3600's seems to have increased a good deal.

@Chrisch custom loop, or your T-ambient is really cold? Your GPU temps looks pretty low even for idle.

Chrisch 11-17-2019 04:44 AM

custom loop, correct. ambient is ~20°C :)
