And much more interesting talk (for me) about what lies ahead in 2020 for AMD:

What everyone cares about

Gordon Ung, PC World: Do you think that AMD has to have a high-end competitor in the discrete graphics market?

LS: [laughs] I know those on Reddit want a high end Navi! You should expect that we will have a high-end Navi, and that it is important to have it. The discrete graphics market, especially at the high end, is very important to us. So you should expect that we will have a high-end Navi, although I don’t usually comment on unannounced products.

Not everyone cares about big Navi. I'm going to be switching to Intel or nVidia for my next video card. I think this is more exciting than big Navi. I'm hoping they finally release a single CCX 8 core.

Zen 3

AnandTech: AMD’s products have been on a very regular 12-14 month cadence for the last three years. Should we expect to see Zen 3 this year? In previous CES presentations you’ve shared 12-month roadmaps, but this year you only spoke about Q1 and Q2. Would you like to comment on Zen 3 or what’s coming?

LS: You should expect that we’re going to be very aggressive with the CPU roadmap. We think Zen 2 is the best CPU core out there today, and we’re very proud of it. We’ve completed the family and Zen 3 is doing really well, we’re very pleased about it and you’ll hear more about it in 2020. Rather than ask me the question three times Ian [laughs], let me clear: you will see Zen 3 in 2020!

Was just going by much of the comments surrounding amd and CES the last couple days. Thought some folks would appreciate that comment.

An 8 core single ccx would be sweet.

Why does the 5600 XT look like it might have better cooling than the 5700 XT?

Whoa, did AMD just silently release their first non-blower reference card? Hmmm, idk, could it just be a place holder generic image? Here is a shot of the slides from CES. Maybe there isn't a real reference card?

I think the first was the HD 7990 followed by the Radeon VII(Regarding fans)? At first I thought it was a place holder but that looks to realistic of a render to just be a place holder.

Reminds me of a car I used to drive:

And my girlfriend said it looked to dated with the red and black for the 1990s.

I don't think there are reference designs for 5600 but I could be wrong. I really want to see how badly this beats 1660 Ti. If those clk speeds are real the OC potential is huge.

It might be between 10-15% ahead of the 1660 Ti considering the 5700 is 19-24% faster than it. Probably not high considering it has the same amount of compute units as a RX 5700 with a single 8 pin.
