the IV bag shortage was caused by natural disaster, and lack of manufacturing redundancy. There are a few articles that pop up when googling it that go further into the issue, going company by company, auditing their sites, and ability to actually produce if said sites go down. its some shady money hungry stuff. humanity's greed knows no bounds.

Apparently I heard the one of the larger manufacturing plant for the US was located in Puerto Rico and was destroyed during a hurricane.

Correct. caused worldwide IV bag shortages, because the bulk of allowed to be used in The West bags were coming outta The 2nd most corrupt island on earth. Puerto Rico, which ended up getting flattened by a hurricane, and is still a clusterfark, all these years later. The public officials have squandered & stolen every last drop. All while warehouses sit full of rotting supplies to this day. hundreds if not thousands dead from post storm starvation & exposure. Completely preventable, but govt.

To show you really can't fix stupid they showed some wet markets serving raw bats opening back up in China

sure, blame the bats... the more I read bout this thing, the more it seems engineered. but I know dittly squat on the subject, and for some reason it blows my mind the way we continue to react to this. would be nice if it could take out both political extremes (left and right) the world, and internet would be a much quieter and nicer place without them. Though, SM would just create a new army, as that's part of the design.

just functions so much differently than any other flu pandemic in the past. H1N1 wasn't as big of a deal because it didn't include asymptomatic reinfection.
