hey guys i was running prime95 for 24 hours and it failed 18 hours what would you do

happyxix 03-06-2009 10:25 PM

18 hours is good enough. I mean you don't run your computer at max that much for 24/7 do you?

Play some games

ltulod 03-06-2009 10:26 PM

lower your oc and try it again, maybe 3.6 ghz?

PhaedraCorruption 03-06-2009 10:26 PM

Can you elaborate? By failed do you mean it auto-shut-off or did it BSOD?

I had better luck @ 9x418, my prime would last for 14+ @ 3.8 but I eventually had to give in.

I usually call it good after 12 hours. So 18 is really good. Go play some games and relax.

Sickened1 03-06-2009 10:27 PM

Honestly unless for some reason your CPU will be at 100% ALL the time. I wouldn't worry about it at all.

corey407woc 03-06-2009 10:28 PM

yeah bsod after 18 hours

ntsf error or something

Emmanuel 03-06-2009 10:30 PM

One notch up the voltage on the vCore, the NTFS error even though related to your hard drive is very likely the result of an unstable OC.
