Whats boinc?

A platform for running various distributed computing projects.
Shame Stanford never adopted it.

Dozens of different projects to choose from all controlled from a signle user interface.

Perhaps so, but since '05 at least it has been Boincless with no intention of crossing over.

But then they do okay for membership without Boinc

It is better to run just a single or multiple projects?

Now running:
-Rosetta
-Milky (GPU only)
-WCG
-Collatz (when Milky server is down)

Thanks

You can run as many projects as you like. Having more than one project going at any one time helps guarantee that you won't be left without WUs if one of the project servers goes down for whatever reason.

I split my usage over 6 projects at the moment, as they are all projects that I am interested in.

i usually run POEM for cpu and DNETC for gpu at the same time.

but i have 2 dedicated machines that should be ready this weekend that will run 3-4 projects at a time.... (i hope)
