I used some Microsoft optical mouse for a while and then jumped on the RAT5. First one lasted a few years and this current one lasted 1 year and now occasionally the mouse cant do both X/Y planes.

Ive a tried a couple of mice maybe a couple of years ago and really didnt like anything besides the RAT5.

Is there anything in the market that feels like a RAT5? I really dont need much in terms of feature set besides maybe adjustable DPI and front / back buttons

Would like to keep the budget at 50 or under

Thanks guys

What is your cm/360? If you don't know use mouse-sensitivity.com
Also your hand size?
Drivers or no drivers?

I have no idea what that even is, or how to fulfill that information. As no game I play is within that list for conversion. I click on anything and it wants a subscription.

I don't have any tools to measure my hand.

And really doesn't matter driver or not

After looking around, I have determined that I am a claw type user

Lastly I do not support Razer products

Some suggestions for a claw type user and ill go from there, thanks!

I use a claw grip and the Logitech G502 Proteus Core. Love this mouse. If you live near a Best Buy, they usually have one out to test on display. They can be found for $55-60 on sale if you're patient.

I have used the Rat 5, 7 and a few different logitechs since than. I now use a 502 and like it a lot, not sure what you mean by a learning curve as it is a mouse for the most part it's button in the same place as others. The wheel is a bit odd with the free spin and notchy when spinning. It's DPI is stupidly high.

Thanks, but no thanks
Mionix makes another version of that mouse with a lower DPI sensor that's cheaper. I've got their 7000 DPI model, I think I paid $90 for it. They also have a 3200 dpi for about 60. It's a really good mouse if you want to go a bit over budget. I love mine.

Your right its cheaper and I dont think I ever really set my DPI super high anyways

Though I also dont like design of the right half of the mouse. I claw the right and left ends of the mouse too if that makes any sense.

I know what you mean. Mouse shopping online would be a pain because the grip is so suggestive. The only reason I got this one was that I found it at Frys and was able to try it out.

Was there a learning curve on it? Ive been using RAT5 since 2009 maybe? lol
Angled, EC2-A although the CM-Storm Spawn would be more similiar. The G303 is nice if you like the shape. Finalmouse is nice if you can get one in stock. I agree with you, not buying Razer

By CM/360, I meant how many centimetres do you move on your desk to do a 360 turn in game.

MIONIX has a great rubbery grip and several models like you say software kicks ass but has not changed much since begin reminds me of oakley grips
ihave to mention the original logitech G9 Classic claw mouse

Never though I would miss the Microsoft Optical white/red mouse from walmart...
Was it the Intellimouse optical 1.1a, WMO or IE3.0? If it was the IO 1.1 then you're in luck because the Zowie Za12 is the exact same shape.

Just like the rest of us you gotta wait and see what the new FinalMouse is like then, failing that I used a WMO for a long time and I like the FK1 ALOT, it is definitely my favourite mouse, better than the G303 for me.

I like to claw the entire mouse though, and the current FinalMouse seems to not be matte finish on the right side of it...

Wanting to get away from the RAT5 to try something a little different, just dont want something that is too uncomfortable

Thanks for the suggestions thus far!

When is the next FinalMouse supposed to be released? Ideally I want this before The Division is released

Then it's likely I might just get another rat5 then since nothing really seems to match it's form factor.

I'm told it's a terrible mouse but the alternatives aren't a replacement, just popular choices from enthusiasts.

What is your guys opinion on the m45?

I despise corsair but it seems they don't have drm on the mouse so I'd be willing to suck it up for this one if you guys think it's a solid build.

I was going to get the rat3 locally but no adjustable weights so its a no go

M45 has bad click latency and is heavy. The shape is great and so is the sensor, but I wouldn't recommend it I would go for the SS Rival 300 or the EC1/2-A. I mean if you want the RAT then go for it because

everything else
