I was deleted some viruses off my friends laptop and when I finished I rebooted the computer.

When the title page came up I got the message:

Quote:
The instruction at "0x7d4caa9b" referenced memory at "0x00000010". The memory could not be "read".

Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program
I've clicked both and they lead nowhere. The desktop doesn't even load for me now.

Any ideas?

He might, would I need to reformat or do a repair? Is there anything I can try in the time being?

You can see if you can get into safe mode

If not, load the OS disk (any should work as long as it's the same OS, IE: He's running Vista Home Premium, then you need a Vista Home Premium disk.) and start a repair session.
