After hearing some users having phenomenal performance with 3x 30GB RAID 0 which is nearly the same price of one 120GB single I am wondering if I made the wrong decision? What do you guys think? 15% restocking fee....

That's hard to answer without seeing specs for all the drives, some actual performance data for both setups, and the current pricing.

Pros: Might be faster, might cost less.
Cons Might be slower, might cost more.
...see the problem? You need more information to make a decision.

If I were you, I'd get a matching drive to what you have and run a two drive RAID0 array. A 120 gig drive is pretty small.

How fast do you want to go? How much money do you have? ...what about a three drive (WD VelociRaptor 300 gig) RAID0 array?

if you are willing to buy a raid card, maybe a prec 5/i, go for the 3 x 30gb.
for sure 3 SSDs in RAID will be faster than a single one.
if you can afford it, i would say go for the 3 and get a nice RAID card.
I don't think you'll see much performance increase with 3 raid 0 over 2 without using a raid card. If you aren't going for a raid card I would recommend going two of some other capacity in raid 0. To be perfectly honest, why would you ever need solid state memory for anything more than your OS!? (why are you getting 90 - 120 gigs of it!)
the raid controller is a really good thing if you buy one with on board cashe, especially if you plan to buy a mlc ssd like the 30gb ocz.
Thanks all for the feedback. You do raise some valid points so let me clarify.

Here is a benchmark of my drive.

Here is a benchmark of 3x30GB.

As you can see is there quite a jump in performance. But in reality after thinking to myself, the drive is fast enough and I will probably jump into my own raid 0 later on when prices drop.

With 3x30GB I would have sacrificed three sata ports with only 90GB of space. With 2x120GB or possibly 3 I would use as many sata ports but have a significant amount of data storage capabilities.

Another thing I have recently come to learn about is how that type of bandwidth can overstress the onboard raid controller and the rest of the pc components. Although sata II has the 3.0GBs bandwidth it was never designed to run at full capacity 24/7. At least, this is one argument I have come to hear about...

Umm...so one of you asked about specs of each drive. I'll be happy to provide info. This is directly from the OCZ Website.

30GB Max Performance**
Read: Up to 230 MB/s
Write: Up to 135MB/s
Sustained Write: Up to 80MB/s

60GB Max Performance**
Read: Up to 230 MB/s
Write: Up to 135MB/s
Sustained Write: Up to 70MB/s

120GB Max Performance**
Read: Up to 250 MB/s
Write: Up to 180MB/s
Sustained Write: Up to 100MB/s

250GB Max Performance**
Read: Up to 250 MB/s
Write: Up to 160MB/s
Sustained Write: Up to 100MB/s

As you can see from these specs...3x120GB would definitely offset 3x30GB in performance comparison and as I said earlier 360GB is way way better than a meager 90GB. In addition the 120-250GB versions have a 64MB cache vs. 32MG which gives them that addition performance boost.

I've also messed with raptors and velociraptors and I can clearly say I have no interest in using them after I've started using this SSD. It's small, makes no noise, and even beats two velociraptors in raid 0. Also, even though 120GB seems small I think its enough for now and I am probably just going to buy this 750GB esata drive for data storage.

Well enough off my thoughts, let's hear what the rest of you would like to contribute

Ohh yea, and I wanted to just mention if anyone is thinking of buying a 280 I would not recommend it, either go for the 295 or for the 4870x2. I had a 295 before but as of now I am temporarliy stuck with a 280.
