I was just wondering im 99% sure that the max temps that AMD cpus can go to before dying is 65c can someone please confirm this for me? my 1050T has been hitting 45c max, non stress testing and i am thinking about doing a little bit of over clocking aiming for around 3.8Ghz but i dont want it to go past 55c during stress tests (just to be on safe side). Also what is the best stress tester for AMD cpus?

its been a while since i have done any of this, im sure i had one installed on my hard drive, but it died and i lost everything on it so i cant remember what it was called

62c is max safe temperature, sometimes after 55c it will start to get unstable. Also look for socket temps, not core temps, because they are off by around 7c - 12c.

Best program would be Prime95. Run Small fft's for 15 minutes to check quickly if it's stable and see max temps, or blend for 12+ hours for full stability test.

Is that Arctic Freezer Pro what you'll be using for a cooler? Be sure and pay CLOSE attention to CPU Socket temp as that cooler is not known to be performance cooler, especially on a hexacore. That cooler was hardly enough to let my PH II x2 555 BE (backup rig) get to 3.8GHz and maintain a max load temp of 55c. I think you'll see temps will be your limit, especially if your already mid to upper 40's.

I'd consider upgrading it before going to far with OC'ing!

If your hitting 45c at idle or just surfing, with out stessing it-if i were you i would reset your heat sink and your tim, 45c is quite high. mine idles at 29c
and yes amd says 62c is max temp-i have pushed all my phenoms past that -but not a good idea, i only did it to see what would happen.
