Yes it is legit. It's just a matter of when they are coming into stock. I also think there are other 6 cores coming with different clock speeds and such. I briefly read about it somewhere but can't remember the link. Sorry.

I wonder why AMD is putting out 2 TDP versions of the same chip? Apart from a overclockers delight, what benefit does it provide AMD?

I don't know about the prices, but maybe the 95W one has a small premium to it compared to the 125w one?

Because OEM's never want to use a >95W processor in their machines
the 1055T 95W is probably going to sell retail, but will likely feature big in OEM machines.
Among the other processors coming out are:
1035T, 2.6Ghz, 95W
1075T, 3Ghz, 125W

I can foresee the for-sale section having a few of the 125w versions soon.
