I can get a 1055T for £60 ish (selling my proc.) or get the ECO also for £60, can't get both, atm.

I am leaning to wards the ECO for my current CPU and then going for Bulldozer (heard it is compatible with AM2+ and DDR2, is this true)?

So, to clarify options.

    or, ECO + Bulldozer

And, does Bulldozer support Am2+ and DDR2?

Thanks

EDIT: Main uses are gaming

Don't get the ECO. Get a Xiggy unless your case can't fit it. Any of the series will do:

S1283/S1284/Dark Knight.

Cheaper, and better.

A 1055T on stock cooling with a mild overclock (and turn off turbo) will be substantially faster than an X4 940.

I used to run mine at 3.7 24/7 or 3.9 (not entirely stable, hit or miss), my 1090T at the stock 3.2 beat it in every bench.

If bulldozer is as good as it's hype (forgetting the cost of a mobo upgrade) it may well exceed what you can afford, they may slap a hefty price on it.

Man I will be super bummed if they throw some crazy intel price on it. I could maybe swing 400 but hoping for more like 300.
