Hi guys.

I'm beginning to plan my build that i hope to build wihtin the coming months.

At first for my build, i was looking to purchase AIO finished watercoolers from popular brands but have largely been disuaded due to the fact that many of the producers seem to be skimping on quality in order to lower price.

So i've begun to look at custom kits from EKWB and think that's what i'm going for.

My build so far consists of the following.

**CPU** | [Intel - Core i7-8700K 3.7GHz 6-Core Processor](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/sxDzK8/intel-core-i7-8700k-37ghz-6-core-processor-bx80684i78700k) | $404.00 @ Amazon
**Motherboard** | [Asus - ROG MAXIMUS X APEX EATX LGA1151 Motherboard](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/R2gPxr/asus-rog-maximus-x-apex-eatx-lga1151-motherboard-maximus-x-apex) | $328.99 @ SuperBiiz
**Memory** | [G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4-3200 Memory](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/BZwqqs/gskill-memory-f43200c14d32gvk) | $480.00 @ Newegg Marketplace
**Case** | [Thermaltake - Suppressor F51 (Windowless) ATX Mid Tower Case](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/W3bkcf/thermaltake-case-ca1e100m1nn00) |-
**Power Supply** | [Corsair - 1000W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/w9Jkcf/corsair-power-supply-cp9020084na) | $179.99 @ Amazon

I'm looking to get a Geforce 1080ti but there are so many editions out there, and i'm unsure if the PCB on them are different.
I understand that EKWB has a compatibility list, but my question is more in reference to does it matter which of the compatible GFX cards i buy? Is the PCB the same on all of them?

I'm looking to buy this kit and connect it to both CPU and GPU
https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-kit-x360

But for the GPU waterblock.

Is there a core difference in pr say

https://www.asus.com/dk/Graphics-Cards/ROG-STRIX-GTX1080TI-O11G-GAMING/

As compared to
https://www.proshop.dk/Grafikkort/EVGA-GeForce-GTX-1080-Ti-FTW3-ELITE-GAMING-WHITE-11GB/2621670?utm_source=edbpriser&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=pricesite

Which has a memoryclock of 12kMhz

Do the different existing GF cards have a big difference between them?

I can't really speak for Nvidia, but if like AMD reference cards are similar to the Founders edition cards, then the best bet for compatibility would be to get a founders edition seeing as its a reference model of sorts I think. I know for a fact partner cards can have compatibility issues with certain waterblocks.

Thanks for the reply.

I found out that in fact there is a small difference in PCBs, and figured out which one to buy!

I got this part of my rig now settled!
