Should I buy the 1090t? I really wanted to wait until next january to buy a amd 3+ board and possibly a newer cpu, but this guy I know is selling me a 1090t for 130. Supposedly he couldn't use it on his mobo... You guys have anything I should be looking out for if I go see it?

Helluva deal
.... just make sure the pins are all there and aren't bent....

If he couldn't use it on his board, how could it be used once....

Okay I went out, popped it in an crosshair, and it's good! Paid the guy, he's a rich kid, so I guess I got lucky! Well, now to build a system around it. Anyone got good recommendations on a mobo?

A bit excessive in price. I'd say an Asus Crosshair IV Formula (AMD 890FX), though. Best overall for what you get and price ratio. Otherwise, maybe an Asus M4A89GTD PRO (AMD 890GX), which apparently also overclocks like a champ. All these 890FX and 890GX chipsets seem to love these new CPUs for overclocking with low voltages.
