440 Views 12 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  The Fryer
this has me going insaine.. my 12v+ rail keeps changing up and down. no load it is at 11.71v under max load it will go down as low as 11.26v then come back up to 11.35v and stay. my psu gets a little warm but not bad at all.. is this normal to have that much load vs idle voltage?

Get a multimeter.

The onboard sensor sucks.

Well, if the voltages ARE indeed that low, I would think about replacing the PSU. Mad Dog is not really a respected PSU manufacturer.

i like them both and they are single 12v rails.
I have learned that OCZ PSUs leave something to be desired. Some models are better than others, but most get unstable as you approach peak output.
This would be the best bang for buck PSU - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139006
This Corsair will easily handle any upgrades you make in the future, including an entirely new build. The price tags is pretty good also

The Corsair you linked is also a great choice.
