1600 vs 1333?

i really want the ballistix tracer ddr3's, been in love with them ever since, but i think this might apply to other modules as well

i wanna overclock a 920 to 4ghz, if i dont hit it thats fine, but my real question is can i hit 4ghz with 1333? or is it easier to get 4ghz with 1600?

that being said, should i dish out an extra 30 bucks for the 1600? or should that go to a mouse or a game

When you pick a 1333 set with low timings, it's also possible to loosen up the timings and overclock it to 1600mhz. That is, if you are keen on saving money.
eh id rather mess with overclocking the cpu than the ram, but would it really affect the ease of OC'ing a 920?
No, DDR3-1333 won't limit your CPU OC.

Lowest memory speed that you can run on a 4GHz i7 920 is ~1150ish. Almost any DDR3 will handle that.

I don't think it does, because you can lower the memory multiplier in the bios. This basically lowers your memory speed.

so itd be totally kickass if i save 30 bucks for a 1333 stick or would you personally hit the 1600 up to get that tiny little boost. [say if i were on a semi-budget pc ~1200ish]
