Asus K73E is only $499.99 at Best Buy now. Has a 17" monitor with 1600x900 resolution and 2.3 ghz i3. I'm tempted to buy this just cause I want a big screen and the price is appealing. Would a monitor of this size and resolution drain a 6-cell a lot quicker than a 15"? I've never owned a 17" laptop monitor so I don't know anything about how they perform unplugged.

Theoretically larger laptops have better battery life because they allow for a bigger battery. Thats assuming the manufacturer dont cheap out and put a 4 cell in it tho.

Edit:
Sorry didn't read the post thoroughly enough. Given it is a 6 cell yes a 17" will drain the battery quite a bit faster than a 15" monitor. But screen size is only one component you should go to NBR and ask people who own that particular model.
