It might be a little larger just due to the fact that the screen itself is larger.
19in widescreen LCD vs regular 19in
i was looking at two monitors on newegg, the widescreen 19in, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824163130 or just a regular 19in. i was wondering if the screen hight would be about the same as my 15in lcd but wider, or would it be bigger than a regular 15in? i really wana get a wide screen tho.

It'll look more like a 15" since the length is 19" diagonal, I've seen 17" widescreens, mainly on laptops and they do look fairly small, I would suggest a regular 19" because not that many games support widescreen but more are on the way.
If you're going widescreen I wouldn't look less than 24". 19" 4:3 LCDs are better IMO.
The only factor that would convice me to get a 19" widescreen was if it was HD-Ready and could be hooked up to watch HDTV, if it can then I would consider it, if not, go with a standard 19"
