2.1 set to 2.0 set

I've got a nortek 2.1 set ( http://www.nortekonline.com/EMEA/NL/...eam-21-pro.asp )
But my sub woofer is broken, so i was wondering is it posible to change this 2.1 set into a 2.0 set because i got 2 speakers from philips but when i connect them to the plugs i don't get bass out of it, ...
Does anyone know how to rebuild this if it is posible ?
